The quickest way to drain your energy is to say “Yes” to things we do not really want to do.
When we do things out of alignment with who we truly are we give away our power and bit by bit our vitality starts to drain.
For the longest time, I had a hard time saying no. No to people that were sucking the life out of me. This ranged from abusive bosses, clients, past relationships and friendships.
The biggest “YES” of all is when we say nothing to a situation we are in.
I was giving away my power daily for a very long time until I had nothing left to give and it left me with a diagnosis of #mecfs (chronic fatigue syndrome). Spiritually I f*^ked myself because of all my people-pleasing.
For the better part of a year, I blamed my misfortune on everything but myself. I cried tears for who I use to be and for everything I couldn’t do anymore. I was angry at my body. I complained about my health a lot. The list goes on.
The thing is I had a lesson I still wasn’t getting and the universe does what it does, it will continue to show up over and over until you get it.
My lesson was I needed to stop saying yes when I really meant no because I was putting others needs before my own.
Did this new me lose people along the way “Heck yes!” You are the creator of your reality, you have more power then you think over any situation you are currently in.
The question is are you ready to write a new story? Or keep playing your current story on repeat?
